All That The Salt Took
In the wake of drowned empires, memory is rebellion.
After the great floods claimed Black towns and their sovereigns, the world forgot—but the sea did not. Beneath coral ruins and rusted mansions, a girl named Kaia listens to waves that still carry secrets: of stolen nations, vanished bloodlines, and voices silenced by design.
Guided by the haunting rhythms of the Wavesong, Kaia stumbles upon a half-drowned boy bearing a forbidden glyph—a Vatican seal burned into his skin. Together, they uncover a submerged world of Tidebound daughters and waterbound brotherhoods, Leviathan omens, and sunken castles unclaimed by any flag. But the deeper they dive, the more Kaia realizes: the sea does not forgive, and the salt remembers everything.
As myth bleeds into memory and rebellion ferments in the abyss, Kaia must decide whether to follow the song or become it.
All That the Salt Took is the first volume in a submerged saga of drowned histories, ancestral magic, and the sovereigns who refuse to stay buried.
